Change PHP Version and Configuration

In this brief guide, we show you step by step how to change the PHP version of your hosting service and adjust its configuration.

Adjusting PHP Configuration on Hosting Plans

1. Log in to cPanel

2. Select PHP Version

   

3. Extensions: You can enable opcache or any other extension required by your CMS application. We recommend selecting Reset to default to enable the recommended extensions.

   

4. Options: You can adjust the configuration of the selected PHP version:

Cloud or Dedicated Servers Without Cloudlinux

If you use a cloud or dedicated server without Cloudlinux, you will have access to cPanel’s native PHP selector, MultiPHP Manager.

MultiPHP allows you to configure the PHP version by domain or virtual host.

Note: The configuration selected in this cPanel area will override the version selected in the 'Select PHP Version' area.
