Getting started: How do I launch my email campaign?
The first thing we need to do to get started is log in to the account using the credentials provided by Duplika. To do this, we will go to https://www.emailpanel.net/
After logging in, we can create our first campaign.
Getting started: How do we verify our domain?
We can whitelist our emails using our actual domain to ensure that they do not bounce.
After clicking the highlighted button, we will see the relevant information.
Clicking the eye indicated below will open our domain and email details.
A window similar to the following will open:
Here we can verify emails and domains, including setting up a bounce domain.
Getting started: How do we verify our email?
We can verify our email address instead of the domain itself.
The email verification process is easy because, as we will confirm, the email address associated with our account should already be approved.
We will go here:
Then here:
Finally, here:
If we want to add another email address:
After clicking the indicated button, we will enter the new email address and verify it in the pop-up window.
We need to check our inbox and click the confirmation link. If we do not receive the email, we recommend checking the spam/junk folders.
Getting started: How do we set up a default bounce domain?
A bounce domain allows us to set an email address to which bounce information will be sent. The advantage of having a separate bounce domain is that it helps build a positive reputation with recipient servers.
A "bounce domain" is also called a return path, reverse path, envelope from, and envelope sender.
Technically, in Duplika Email Marketing, the bounce domain will be a subdomain of our main domain. E.g.: rebotes.midominio.com
To set up a bounce domain:
Remember to create the subdomain. If you have any questions, you can email [email protected] for assistance.
Optionally, we can disable the bounce domain so that our email address is used instead.
Campaigns: getting to know the campaign editing screen
Here we will see an overview of what appears on our campaigns screen.
The Campaigns Screen is the starting point for sending or scheduling campaigns. It is also where we will see the list of campaigns we have sent and review their results.
Clicking the blue Create Campaign button will start the creation process. This is explained in the next section.
Campaigns: sending our first campaign
Sending an email to any group of contacts is a "Campaign." To do this, we first need two things: a template, which becomes the body of the email, and contacts, who are the recipients of the email. Let us start at the beginning: contacts.
The easiest and most commonly used method for uploading an email list is to upload a CSV file. In other words, we need to have the recipients in an Excel file (or similar) so we can edit them and export them with the .csv extension when needed.
Our CSV file must have at least one (1) column labeled 'email'; this column will contain the list of email addresses.
Example:
email [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] etc
Once this step is complete, we will need to configure a Template.
There are many templates to choose from, as well as many ways to customize them. Below we can see the editing view for the first template in the gallery, "yoga." Everything we see—text, colors, and images—is easy to edit or replace. We can remove and add elements as we please.
On the right, we have elements that we can add, distributed across three categories/tabs.
We recommend experimenting with the elements, clicking to edit the text, and becoming familiar with the tools. Note: changes are saved automatically, creating a new template in "My Templates."
Once our Template has been created, we can start our Campaign.
After clicking the indicated button, we will see:
There is nothing else to worry about besides choosing the contact list, selecting the created Template, and clicking "Send." The campaign will be processed.
Contacts: managing our contacts
Our contacts are probably the most important part of our marketing strategy. Without subscribers, we would not have an audience for our email campaigns. Knowing how to manage them properly may require some practice as well as using the tools correctly.
At this point, it is important to know something in advance: the difference between Segments and Static Lists.
Lists are, precisely, an enumeration of static emails. Segments, on the other hand, are lists that change dynamically according to query criteria.
Example: when we upload a .csv file, the emails are added to a new or existing list. That particular group of contacts does not change; it remains static in that list.
A segment is completely dynamic: it only contains contacts that match the segment query. A clear example is the "Engaged Contacts" Segment, available by default in most accounts. This segment only contains contacts with an Engaged status, meaning that the contact has clicked or opened their email within the last 6 months.
The main contacts screen gives us a snapshot of what is happening with our marketing.
In the Summary panel, we can see all our contacts, subscribed contacts, and contacts added today.
In Contact Growth , we will see a chart showing changes in the number of contacts. We can adjust the date range to specify a period of time.
In Recent Growth, we can see changes in the number of contacts and subscribers who unsubscribed during the last 30 days.
Audience Performance indicates the engagement of our contacts and is divided into open and click percentages.
To create a new contact list, go to the following link:
Remember that we can upload a CSV-type list, which is the most common option. During the process, we can also enable recipients to unsubscribe. If we allow this, the setting works with the {unsubscribelist} merge field, allowing recipients to see which lists they are on.
The History tab allows us to select and view segment counts on a chart over time. Because segments are dynamic, they will vary over time.
The chart provides a visual representation of segment changes over the last 30 days.
