Email bounce: Message blocked
Updated last month
At some point, you may send an email that is rejected or blocked with a message similar to the following:
Error Message: 550 5.7.1 [CS] Message blocked. If this is a false positive, please report this to your hosting service provider. See https://console.mailchannels.net/insights/bounce?auid=Duplika&[email protected]&txid=xxxxxxxx
This message indicates that our antispam service has detected that the email you sent has the characteristics of spam.
It may be a false positive, since certain words or URLs can trigger detection. The two main measures we recommend implementing, if you have not already tried them, are:
Use SMTP to send emails: If you use an automated sending system in your application, configure it to use the SMTP of an existing account.
If you use WordPress, we have published a configuration guide here.Use a valid sender: All emails you send must have a valid sender so that any bounce reaches your inbox and you can monitor any issues.
If you only send emails to people who want to receive your messages, you should not encounter any major issues.
How do I unblock it?
In the same bounce email, you will find a link to report that you are not sending any type of mass email to people who never voluntarily subscribed to your messages. Your emails will then be sent normally.
If the problem occurs several times, we suggest forwarding the bounce message to our support team so they can verify the reason.
