Mail bounce: Message blocked
Updated 3 months ago
At some point, you may send an email that is rejected or blocked with a message similar to the following:
Error Message: 550 5.7.1 [CS] Message blocked. If this is a false positive, please report this to your hosting service provider. See https://console.mailchannels.net/insights/bounce?auid=Duplika&[email protected]&txid=xxxxxxxx
This message indicates that our spam filter has detected that the email you sent has the characteristics of spam.
This may be a false positive, since certain words or URLs can trigger the detection. The two main steps we recommend taking, if you haven't tried them yet, are:
Use SMTP to send emails: If you use an automatic sending system in your application, configure it to use the SMTP server of an existing account.
If you use WordPress, we published a setup guide here.Use a valid sender: All emails you send must have a valid sender so that any bounced emails reach your inbox and you can monitor any issues.
If you only send emails to people who want to receive them, you shouldn't have any major issues.
How do I unblock it?
In the bounce email itself, you'll find a link to report that you aren't sending any kind of mass email to people who never voluntarily subscribed to your mailings. Your emails should then be sent normally.
If the problem occurs several times, we suggest forwarding the bounce message to our support team so they can determine the reason.
