How to connect via FTP

A convenient way to manage the files in your account is by using an FTP client (File Transfer Protocol, or file transfer protocol).
To connect to your account this way, you will need two things: your access details (which we sent you in the welcome email when you started your plan) and an FTP client (software). The free program we recommend is FileZilla, which you can download here.
Once it has been downloaded and installed, go to File > Site Manager and configure your site as follows:
In the "Server" field, simply enter ftp.misitio.com (replacing "misitio.com" with the correct URL for your domain).
Encryption: Use explicit FTP over TLS if available
Remember that we sent your username and password in the welcome email.
After entering these details, click the "Connect" button. You may be asked whether you trust the connection certificate; if so, accept the certificate.
If you want to use encryption (a secure connection), you will need to connect to the server's hostname, where your account is located. Please contact us if you are unsure which one it is.
