Set Up an Email Account in Outlook

In this quick guide, we’ll see how to receive and send emails from our site hosted on Duplika using the Outlook client. Let’s get started.

Information to have on hand

• Email address: [email protected] and its password.

Duplika servers:

• Incoming (IMAP): mail.tudominio.com

• Outgoing (SMTP): mail.tudominio.com

Ports:

• IMAP: port 993

• SMTP: port 465

Instructions (Outlook 2019, 2021, or Microsoft 365)

Note: The steps may vary slightly depending on the version of Outlook you are using, but the basic concepts are the same.

1. Open the Outlook client

2. Go to File → Add account

3. Enter our email address and then click Connect

4. In the next window, select IMAP (POP3 is also an option, but we do not recommend it)

5. Complete the fields manually:

Incoming mail server (IMAP)

Server: mail.tudominio.com Port: 993 Encryption method: SSL/TLS Username: the complete email address Password: the password for that mailbox

Outgoing mail server (SMTP)

Server: mail.tudominio.com Port: 465 Encryption method: SSL/TLS Requires authentication: Yes Username: our complete email address Password: the same password Then click Next. Outlook will verify the information. If everything is correct, it will display a green check mark. Click Done.

After this final step, our Duplika email account will be configured in Outlook.
