Sharing access to Google Search Console

Sharing access to your Google Search Console account is necessary in certain scenarios, typically when we hire third parties to handle our website’s digital marketing, or when we add other team members.

It is possible to grant a third party access securely and conveniently without the need to share—or compromise—our own login credentials. The steps are detailed below.

How do we add a user to our Google Search Console?

First, we go to our account via https://search.google.com/search-console/ and enter our credentials to log in.

Next, we select the "property" (that is, the website) we want to manage.

Then we click the Settings link.

On the page that opens, we select the "Users and permissions" option.

Then we click the blue button to add users.

We enter the email address of the person we want to add and select the permission level: full access or restricted access.

Finally, we save the changes. Done! After this final step, we have successfully completed the process.
