Getting Started with Your VPS Server

This guide walks you through everything from choosing a plan to your first login to your VPS or Cloud server: what to purchase, how it’s activated, where to log in, and what Duplika management includes. Choosing a plan and location
All cloud plans include dedicated, reserved resources, a dedicated IP, the cPanel/WHM control panel, CloudLinux, and Imunify360. They differ in CPU, memory, storage, and monthly data transfer.

Available locations: the United States, Amsterdam for customers in Europe, and the VPS 16 GB plan with a data center in Argentina (Tier III Plus). Choose a location based on where your site’s audience is.
Ordering and activating your server
You can place your order and make payments at mi.duplika.com, where you can also manage billing, services, and support requests.
Go to the Cloud Servers VPS / Bare Metal catalog and choose a plan.
Choose the billing frequency: monthly, or annually with a 10% discount on the plans listed.
Choose the number of cPanel accounts: all plans include cPanel Admin for 5 accounts, with the option to upgrade to 30, 50, 100, or 150 accounts.
Choose the web server: Apache 2.4 is included by default; LiteSpeed is optional.
Complete the server configuration: hostname, root password, and the NS1 and NS2 prefixes.
If you want backups, enable the option before completing your purchase (see the next section).
Complete your order and make the payment: the server is activated once the payment has been received.
Credit card payments are processed immediately; other payment methods may take up to 48 business hours. For new customers, setup may take a few hours. See Activation Time for New Orders for details.
First login to the server
The welcome email contains the login details for the control panel. Once the service is activated, you can log in at mi.duplika.com or directly through the domain.
Find the service welcome email: it contains the username and password you need to log in.
At mi.duplika.com, open the service list, select your server, and click Log in to cPanel.
You can also access it directly at
cpanel.misitio.com.

VPS backups
VPS backups are optional: they’re disabled by default and can be enabled when you order, along with your choice of backup storage (from 100 GB to 1.5 TB).
VPS backups are disabled by default. Enable the option when placing your order to have the server create daily backups.
When enabled, backups run daily and are kept for up to 21 days. You can restore them from the control panel using Acronis Backup (or, on some services, JetBackup 5), available in cPanel and WHM. For instructions, see Automatic Backups and Restores.

You’re responsible for the applications you run on the server: your application code, WordPress and plugin updates, credentials, and content.
