Getting started with your VPS server

This guide takes you from choosing a plan to your first access to your VPS or Cloud server: what to purchase, how it is activated, where to log in, and what Duplika management includes. Choosing the plan and location
All Cloud plans include exclusive, reserved resources, a dedicated IP, the cPanel/WHM control panel, CloudLinux, and Imunify360. They differ in CPU, memory, storage, and monthly bandwidth.

Available locations: the United States, Amsterdam for customers in Europe, and the 16 GB VPS plan with a data center in Argentina (Tier III Plus). Choose the location based on where your site's audience is.
Purchasing and activating the server
You purchase and pay from mi.duplika.com, where you also manage billing, services, and support requests.
Go to the Cloud Servers VPS / Bare Metal catalog and choose a plan.
Choose the billing period: monthly, or annually with a 10% discount on the plans shown.
Set up the cPanel accounts: all plans include cPanel admin for 5 accounts, expandable to 30, 50, 100, or 150 accounts.
Choose the web server: Apache 2.4 is included by default; LiteSpeed is optional.
Complete the server configuration: hostname, root password, and the NS1 and NS2 prefixes.
If you want backups, enable the option before completing the purchase (see the next section).
Complete the order and make the payment: the server is activated once the payment is credited.
Credit card payments are credited immediately; other payment methods may take up to 48 business hours. For new customers, account activation may take a few hours. Details are available in Activation time for new orders.
First access to the server
The activation email contains the panel access details. Once the service is activated, you can log in from mi.duplika.com or directly through the domain.
Find the service activation email: it contains the username and password you need to log in.
In mi.duplika.com, open the service list, go to your server, and click Log in to cPanel.
You can also access it directly from
cpanel.misitio.com.
To manage the server and its accounts, use WHM: the main options are described in Main WHM panel options, and account limits are covered in Managing resources with CloudLinux Manager. VPS backups
VPS backups are optional: they are disabled by default and are enabled when you purchase them, together with the backup storage space you choose (from 100 GB to 1.5 TB).
VPS backups are disabled by default. Enable the option when purchasing the service so that the server generates daily copies.
When enabled, backups run daily and are retained for up to 21 days. You can restore them from the panel using Acronis Backup (or, for some services, JetBackup 5), available in cPanel and WHM; the procedure is described in Automatic backups and restores.
What management includes
All Cloud plans are 100% managed: we handle maintenance, updates, and proactive 24/7 monitoring of the server and system software, and we address infrastructure issues.
The applications you run on the server are your responsibility: your application code, WordPress and plugin updates, credentials, and content are your responsibility.
