For taking payments through a WooCommerce store in Argentina, the most widely used option is undoubtedly MercadoPago.

Its plugin has received updates for several years, resulting in an excellent WooCommerce integration that makes it easy to accept numerous local payment methods.

If you want to consider an alternative, these are the options covered in the article’s September 2026 editorial review:

  • Mobbex: our main recommendation for people looking for MercadoPago’s simplicity. Its WooCommerce integration is on GitHub and was being maintained at the time of the review, a significant advantage.
  • Decidir through Wanderlust: it is possible to connect to Decidir, avoiding intermediaries between banks and cards and reducing fees. However, the developers request the store’s login when purchasing rather than providing a ZIP to install yourself.
  • Payway (formerly TodoPago): advertises a WooCommerce integration, although an account is required to download it. Experiences from users who have tried it are welcome.
  • Binance: a QR code can be generated for payment through Binance Pay, with automatic payment confirmation using the Kijam plugin.
